‘Badmaash Company’ a movie by Yash Raj films directed by Parmeet Sethi & produced by Yash & Aditya Chopra. The film casts include Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Meiyang Chang, Vir Das, Anupam Kher, Kiran Juneja, Pawan Malhotra, Jameel Khan & others.

The story of the film is about the 4 friends i.e. Karan (Shahid Kapoor), Chandu (Vir Das), Bulbul (Anushka Sharma) & Zing (Meiyang Chang) who are desperate to become rich at the earliest & so they all become partners & start the business. By making tricks, they earn money. First they started it from India & later on in US. From here, the roller coaster life of all the four begins.

The director has come up with a real good concept & according to the today’s generation likings. The whole film is youthful & entertaining. The languages used by all the main casts were typical to the today’s youngster gang & so will attract a lot of youngster group. Shahid was superb in his performance & Anushka too was good in the role allotted to her.

Technical wise cinematography was excellent whereas even the songs of the movie were rocking. The screenplay & script were neatly portrayed & written respectively. The only loop hole in the movie is the pace of the movie.

Though the climax of the movie loses its freshness but overall the movie will appeal a large no. of audience & will be a hit onscreen.

‘The Japanese Wife’ a mesmerizing movie by Aparna Sen. The film casts of the movie are Rahul Bose, Raima Sen, Chigasu Takaku, Moushmi Chatterjee & others. ‘The Japanese Wife’ is not a typical Bollywood movie. It’s more about the sensitive tale of hearts. By watching the movie, all may not enjoy as it has no masala in it. The movie later may get many critical acclaim due to its look out on relationships.

The story of the movie is of the two strangers who are far away from each other & are still honestly maintaining their relationships. Rahul Bose, from India & Takku, from Japan both become pen friends & through calls & letters they even get married to each other. Even after 15 years of marriage, the two have not met each other. The physical absence never becomes a hindrance in their life & they continue to be as couple henceforth. In the meanwhile Raima-young widow comes in Rahul’s life where Rahul discovers the joys of parenthood with Raima’s son Paltu. What happens from here forms the rest of the story.

Rahul Bose comes up with mind blowing performance & Raima is fantastic whereas others were ok. Though the movie is based on love genre it will not be loved by many, as the combination of love & relationships has no sort of Bollywood masala & drama in it.

The movie will be loved by selected audience & fans of Aparna Sen.

Many a times it’s seen that the directors come up love story genre to attract all age group audience. Same is the case with ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ movie. The film is directed by Milan Zaveri casting Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vishal Malhotra, Sonal Sehgal, Ruslaan Mumtaz, Farah Khan, Satish Shah, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan, Amrita Rao, Boman Irani, Priyanka Chopra & others.

The only thing which differentiates the movie from other love story is its creativity as the director has not shown the typical way of presenting the girl & boy running behind one another & getting approval from their parents. The director has come up with an innovative idea of man hailing from Earth & women hailing from Venus planet.

<embed src=”http://www.photoplug.in/flash/presentation.swf?album_id=6176” wmode=”transparent” type=application/x-shockwave-flash width=”250″ height=”425″></embed><Br>Create Free Albums at <a href=’http://www.photoplug.in/’>
Photo Plugin</a>

The story begins with Ritesh, who is from a Gujarati family & is in search of a true love. He makes many attempts to get true love but fails. Later when he gives up, Sonal comes in his life. Same is the case with Ruslaan. In the meantime Jacqueline hails from planet Venus in search of true love & from here the story begins. The movie is a total time pass. Ritesh Deshmukh as always has given his best. Jacqueline too has come up with good performance. Supriya as usual is superb.

Overall the movie is good, but as always the 1st half of the movie is given more importance than the second, due to which the audience loses interest & the wonderful movie loses its charm. Though this movie with the difference in presentation of love story has won many hearts & will continue to entertain the audience.

‘Prince’ a high tech movie directed by Kookie Gulati casting Vivek Oberoi, Aruna Shields, Nandana Sen, Neeru Singh, Isaiah, Sanjay Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, Manish Anand, Mayur Puri, Rajesh Khattar, Mohit Chauhan & others.

The film begins with Prince (Vivek) who is an international thief & unfortunately the next morning he realizes that he could not remember where he has kept the loot. He remembers only two names Sarang-the boss & Maya-his girlfriend. From here the story begins where Vivek meets three hot beauties named Maya & tries to figure out who is his actual girlfriend & where he has hidden the loot.

Performance wise Vivek is stunning. Others were ok. Technically & visually the movie is very strong. The background score as well as the music is soothing to the ears. Cinematography by Vishnu Rao is amazing. The only part the film fails is in the second half, as it tails off in its script. Overall the movie is superb with Vivek’s super stunts & graphical presentation in the movie.

The film will be loved more by the youngsters as it is full of stunts & chase sequences.

‘Paathshaala’ a Milind Ukey film based on sanctity of our today’s education system. The film cast includes Shahid Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Ayesha Takia, Swini Khara, Dwij Yadav, Ali Haji, Avika Gor, Sushant Singh, Saurabh Shukla, Nassar Abdulla, Shraddha Arya, Sanatan Modi, Anjan Srivastava, Vicky Ahuja, Preeti Kopikar & others. The film showcases the morals & ethics associated with the teaching profession & how it has now taken a back seat.

The film starts in the backdrop of a school where Shahid enters as an English teaching teacher where he finds out that another colleague of his is cheating the poor parents & taking unnecessary money from them. Shahid decides to protest against this & from here on starts the story of the movie.

Though the director has come up with the provoking concept but could not convince a large no. of audience due to poor screenplay. Performance wise Shahid was outstanding whereas Ayesha has done full justice to her role & Nana was amasing. Technically cinematography is remarkable & even songs in the movie were soothing to the ears.

Overall it was a nice attempt made by Milind Ukey but failed to execute it accurately on full screen.

Before the release of the movie ‘Phoonk 2’ there was much hype about it, as the 1st was just the warning & 2nd one is here now to kill you, but nothing such was seen in the scenes of movie. Audiences were of the opinion that the movie will have more terrifying moments & thrills than the 1st movie.

The movie didn’t have any new things to showcase to the audience, as it was similar to the revenge films. The story of the movie was moving at the snail’s pace which made the audience more uncertain in their seats. It even had many resemblance to it’s before released movie ‘Phoonk’.

‘Phoonk 2’ fails as there was no proper sound effects used at the right moment & even there were no such scenes which would scare the audience. It is only due to Ram Gopal Varma’s brand name people would watch it, but the movie will not stay for long at the box office.

Overall the movie was a complete disappointment.

Shaapit by Vikram Bhatt movie has the cast consisting of Aditya Narayan, Rahul Dev, Shweta Agarwal, Murli Sharma & Shubh Joshi and is based on horror story. As always Vikram Bhatt has tried to mix some elements from his previous movie like ‘Raaz’ & ‘1920’.

The film is divided into two where in the 1st part it’s all about what has happened in the past & in the 2nd half how the past affects the present. It’s where Kaaya (Shweta Agarwal) carries the generational curse that no female in the family will be alive after the marriage which prohibits her to marry her lover but Aman (her lover) decides to fight against it to marry her & this way the story forms.

Today’s Indian films have lacked in the effectiveness of showing a particular scene as well as the creativity. Few mixtures of background songs & typical costumes ends making it a final output. Shaapit though it has not disappointed the fans but has lacked in coming out of the conventional narration mode of Raja-Rani, tantra-mantra, etc. But technically speaking the film has scored well in the special effects, cinematography, were all is well done in the movie. Few scenes seemed to be unrealistic especially when Shweta recovers from coma.

Overall the movie is worth watching but nothing extraordinary can be expected.

‘Well Done Abba’ by Shyam Benegal is based on corruption that we see in today’s time. It’s nothing about glamour or show but about simple moments between simple people. The film casts are Boman Irani, Minissha Lamba, Sameer Dattani, Ravi Kissen, Ila Arun, Salim Ghouse, Sonali Kulkarni, Rajit Kapoor, Yashpal Sharma, Ravi Jhankal, Rajendra Gupta, and Lalit Tiwari.

Boman Irani, who plays the role of dad of Minisha Lambha, takes leave for a month from his office so that he can get time to choose a good pair for his daughter (Minissha). But later, his leave extends to 3 months & the boss decides to fire him & asks him to resign from the work. Somehow Boman tries to persuade the boss by telling him what made him extend the leave & from here, the story forms.

The film basically focuses on corruption which has spread viciously in many spheres of life. The issue isn’t new & has been portrayed by directors in many films but Benegal has taken an initiative to portray it in a very different manner.

Though the director has come up with interesting storyline the story drags in the second half & this makes it difficult for the audience to sit & watch it for more than 2 hours. Characterization of Boman is realistic & incredible whereas Minisha too has come up with good acting skills. The songs by Shantanu Moitra are decent.

Overall the movie will be loved by Benegal’s fans.

‘Hum Tum Aur Ghost’, the movie has a captivating start but later it loses its charm. The film suffers due to its clumsy screenplay. The story starts in a happy go lucky environment where Armaan (Arshad Warsi) is living a great life, having beautiful girlfriend Gehna (Dia) & a great job. The only thing that creates a problem in his life is when he realizes that he can hear the voice of the dead. This irritates Gehna. No one understands why Armaan behaves in such a way. Later he comes across the solution of solving 3 tasks. What those tasks are forms the rest of the story.

The key casts were great in their performances but due to poor screenplay & presentation the film loses its charm. Background score is not up to the mark. Cinematography by Ashok Mehta was a saving grace. As the movie is on the concept of Ghost it should have been more of entertainment but it is not.

Overall the film is not worth watching as it is not upto the expectations.

‘Mittal Vs Mittal’ by Karan Razdan casting Rituparna Sengupta, Rohit Roy, Gulshan Grover, Suchitra Krishnamurthy, Dolly Thakore, Amar Talwar, Reema Lagoo, Anjan Srivastava, Iravati Harsh, Hazel & others. If we see in the past the films made by Karan, it is mostly women centric like ‘Girl Friend’, ‘Hawas’, ‘Sauten’ etc.

‘Mittal Vs Mittal’ is based on marital rape which is a reality today. It’s the general formulaic movie where a girl has dream of marrying her dream boy. Though the girl (Rituparna) is from middle class, gets a chance of marrying a billionaire boy (Rohit). The girl dreams of the aftermath of her marriage but the whole thing takes a U turn in her life where her dream boy turns to be creep who instead of making love, rapes her every night & this makes her go to the lawyer for justice & from here the interesting part of the story starts.

Though the film is formulaic, it interests everyone as issue based movie are liked by the Indian audience. Acting wise Rituparna was intense & hot in her looks. Rohit is also excellent in his acting. Others were up to the mark. Technically speaking the cinematography was ok & few songs of the movie were soothing to the ears.

Overall the movie will attract more of female audience than males.
